The Divine Equine is the 2023 debut solo exhibition of artist Amy Gagnon held at Schoolhouse Studios. Gagnon (b.2000) is a queer female artist residing and practising on Wurundjeri Land in Naarm (Melbourne). The Divine Equine is a celebration of the eroticised female body through Gagnon’s hyper-pop lens. Large-scale, ornamented paintings culminate to create an immersive, otherworldly equestrian experience valuing humour and materiality.
